Rental platform for real estate brokers
The Ejar platform is the electronic platform from the Ministry of Housing that is responsible for regulating rental operations for real estate and residential units. The platform also grants a certificate of accreditation to real estate brokers so that they can conduct their brokerage business in a correct and official manner.
In addition, it provides them with the necessary training and qualification to use the platform in their work, whether in documenting and standardizing contracts, facilitating procedures and litigation processes between parties to disputed contracts, in addition to a number of documented electronic transactions.
How to be a certified real estate broker?
In order to be a certified and certified real estate broker, you must obtain a certificate of approval from the rental platform so that you can practice your business and obtain a real estate broker account on the platform. Also, once you obtain the approval, your name will be added to the list of approved real estate brokers and to the real estate brokers application of the rental platform.

The existence of a commercial register as a real estate brokerage firm, and its activity must include management and leasing of owned or leased residential properties, and management and leasing of non-residential properties in the Kingdom.

How to register a real estate broker
In order to become a certified real estate broker, you must register on the rental platform as a real estate broker, but first and before heading to the rental platform, you must have a commercial registry as a real estate brokerage facility, and we explained in a previous topic the steps to create a commercial record for your project. After creating the commercial register, follow these steps:
From the home page of the rental platform, click on the real estate broker option.
On the next page at the bottom, you will find a button to apply, click on it to start the registration process, or from the electronic services choose “Register a real estate brokerage establishment”.
On the following pages, enter the required data, details of the commercial register, establishment, facility manager, real estate broker information, facility address and contact information.
After entering all the required information, certify that the information is correct in the last step, and press Submit.
A message will be sent to the facility manager’s e-mail to activate the mail.
After activating the mail, the real estate establishment’s account on the platform can be accessed using the username entered during registration and the password that was sent to the real estate broker’s mobile (registered in Absher).
Real estate brokers qualification course
Once you follow the previous steps and complete the registration, then log into the institution’s account on the rental platform, the site will tell you that you need to attend the real estate brokers’ qualification course, which is an electronic course in the form of a set of videos that you attend online through the facility’s account on the platform. Once you complete the attendance, you will be officially registered as a real estate broker Certified and your name is included in the list of real estate brokers.
Renewing a rental subscription for a real estate facility
The subscription of the real estate establishment or the mediation agreement in a rental is an annual subscription and must be renewed once the period has expired. The method of renewal is electronically:
1. Enter the facility’s account in the rental network.
2. From the establishment details page, click on Update Commercial Registration Information.
3. Once the commercial registration information is updated, the establishment’s subscription to rent is renewed.

What percentage does the real estate broker charge?
The broker charges 2.5% of the annual rent value recorded in the contract, to be his fees or the pursuit fee, whether when the contract is documented for the first time or renewed through the broker.
